I loved this place I ordered poached eggs, slab bacon wheat toast and a side of cherries. Prices were reasonable food and service were phenomenal. I'll be coming back next time.
Stopped by for breakfast with my granddaughter. Quiet, clean restaurant with very friendly service. Huge menu, and a great kids menu too! Our table service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food was hot and tasty. I'm coming back!
Sander's Family Restaurant was a great choice for breakfast! It was very tasty! I did the meat skillet and loved it! It hit the spot; for sure! The service was very good! Tasty coffee too! My friend got the 1 egg with bacon and hash browns which really enjoyed. Definitely would go back!
It's been a week and I think I'm still full. Maybe I didn't need the extra pancakes. And the review is now long enough to post.
It was very crowded Saturday morning. Though staff were very friendly and quick to bring us drinks. Interior was a typical old fashioned breakfast place , nothing fancy. My boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy which looked good and my kid ordered Mickey Mouse pancake. Canned pineapple and cocktail cherry were used for face and it was ugly cute. Pineapple tasted not so good though. I ordered classic egg Benedict and I'm afraid to say that it was not egg Benedict that I know of. Whatever the sauce they put was not hollandaise and I suspect it must be a chicken flavor gravy or some sort which was not tasted good. Bread was soaked with sauce and mushy. The Canadian bacon was too thick for my preference. I don't know what it is called but there were mushed potatoes that look like pan fried. It didn't taste bad but I prefer hushed potatoes or something else on the side. I gave 4 starts for good customer service but I didn't not like the egg Benedict.
Sanders underwent a remodel a few years ago and are now only open until 3pm. So no more dinner or late nights, but the same large menu for breakfast and lunch, with healthy portions and good prices. They are one of the few restaurants in town that offer kreplach soup and it's our go to when anyone in our house is sick or just wants a good broth. Their cream of chicken rice soup is good too. We are longtime customers and still love this place after many decades.
